The
Management of Bourke Air Pty. Ltd. recognises that the safety and
welfare of its employees, subcontractors and the community are of
the utmost importance to its operation. This policy is designed to
reduce accidents and to minimise the risk of injury occurring to an
employee, subcontractor or the community, from any work related
activity.
Bourke Air's managers are accountable for the occupational health
and safety of people working under their direction and for the
environment protection measures in the activities they control.
This policy will be carried out by maintaining effective and
ongoing accident prevention programmes aimed at safeguarding
employees and subcontractors from accidents and injuries resulting
from the Company's work process.
Employees at all levels are required to observe and obey all
Company safety rules and procedures and to accept their part of the
responsibility for protecting themselves, fellow employees and
subcontractors from accident and injury and for the development of
safe working practices.
Bourke Air Pty. Ltd. will work with customers, suppliers and
subcontractors to seek the progressive reduction of emissions,
effluent and discharge or wastes to the environment.
Subcontractors are required to comply with the Company's safety
procedures unless it can be demonstrated that the subcontractor's
procedures are of an equivalent or higher standard.
No job will be allowed to commence until all established safety
procedures have been implemented and under no circumstances will
the use of unsafe equipment be allowed.
Furthermore, no one will be permitted to direct personnel to work
where a risk to personal safety exists.
