Occupational Health & Safety Policy

The Management of Bourke Air Pty. Ltd. recognises that the safety and welfare of its employees, subcontractors and the community are of the utmost importance to its operation. This policy is designed to reduce accidents and to minimise the risk of injury occurring to an employee, subcontractor or the community, from any work related activity.

Bourke Air's managers are accountable for the occupational health and safety of people working under their direction and for the environment protection measures in the activities they control.

This policy will be carried out by maintaining effective and ongoing accident prevention programmes aimed at safeguarding employees and subcontractors from accidents and injuries resulting from the Company's work process.

Employees at all levels are required to observe and obey all Company safety rules and procedures and to accept their part of the responsibility for protecting themselves, fellow employees and subcontractors from accident and injury and for the development of safe working practices.

Bourke Air Pty. Ltd. will work with customers, suppliers and subcontractors to seek the progressive reduction of emissions, effluent and discharge or wastes to the environment.

Subcontractors are required to comply with the Company's safety procedures unless it can be demonstrated that the subcontractor's procedures are of an equivalent or higher standard.

No job will be allowed to commence until all established safety procedures have been implemented and under no circumstances will the use of unsafe equipment be allowed.
Furthermore, no one will be permitted to direct personnel to work where a risk to personal safety exists.
